The warning device comprises a first stand column, a second stand column and a warning assembly, the first stand column comprises a first column body and a first gear ring, the warning assembly is arranged at the top end of the first column body, the second stand column comprises a second column body and a locking piece arranged at the top end of the second column body, and the locking piece is elastically connected with the second column body. The locking piece can elastically move relative to the axis direction of the second column body, an inserting hole is formed in the side face, away from the second column body, of the locking piece, a second gear ring is arranged on the hole wall of the inserting hole, the bottom end of the first column body penetrates through the inserting hole and is rotationally connected with the top end of the second column body, and the first gear ring and the second gear ring are selectively meshed. The orientation of the warning assembly can be changed by rotating the first stand column according to different warning areas of a construction site, and the requirements of the construction site are met. When the first stand column is rotated, unlocking between the first stand column and the second stand column can be achieved only by pressing the locking piece downwards, and use is convenient.
