The present disclosure relates to a discharge device (2) for a basin (1), in particular for a sink or washbowl, for filtering a liquid (4) and discharging solids (3) therefrom, having a two-dimensional filter part (6) through which the liquid (4) can be discharged while the solids (3) remain on a surface (7) of the filter part (6). A two-dimensional filter member (6) is mounted on a roller track (10) having at least two rollers (9) and is cyclically movable by being driven by at least one of the rollers (9) in order to discharge filtered solids (3). Alternatively, a two-dimensional filter component (6) provided by the present disclosure is mounted on a movable slider (29) of a sliding guide system (28) and is cyclically movable to discharge filtered solids (3) by the slider (29) being moved along the sliding guide system (28).
