The multicolor paint comprises multicolor paint particles and a continuous phase emulsion, wherein the multicolor paint particles comprise multicolor paint and tangency point liquid; the colorful paint comprises a sodium alginate solution, a protective glue solution and a colorful paint base material; the point-of-tangency liquid comprises a protective glue solution; the continuous phase emulsion comprises a calcium ion-containing solution, an acrylic emulsion and an auxiliary agent. The multicolor paint is prepared through a two-step process, and the two-step process successfully improves the defects of color spot particle bleeding, uncontrollable color spot size and state, many broken spots after color spot granulation and the like in a granulation stage caused by direct reaction of calcium ions and alginate for granulation in a traditional granulation process; meanwhile, the two-step process successfully overcomes the defect that color point particles of soft color points of traditional multicolor paint are easy to break in the scraping stage, and it is guaranteed that the plate surface has clear and clear water-based multicolor patterns and texture.
