The invention discloses a split steel box girder for restraining bridge vortex vibration, which comprises two box girders which are oppositely arranged along the transverse bridge direction, the outer side of each box girder is provided with an air nozzle, a plurality of transverse connecting boxes are arranged between the two box girders, and an open groove is formed between every two adjacent transverse connecting boxes. An upper bridge deck slab and a lower bridge deck slab which enable the open groove to be closed or opened are arranged at the open groove, and the upper bridge deck slab comprises a wide upper bridge deck slab and a narrow upper bridge deck slab which are asymmetrically arranged in the transverse bridge direction and can rotate relative to the two box girders respectively. The lower bridge deck slab comprises a wide lower bridge deck slab and a narrow lower bridge deck slab which are asymmetrically arranged in the transverse bridge direction and can rotate relative to the two box girders respectively, the wide upper bridge deck slab and the narrow lower bridge deck slab are both arranged on one box girder, and the narrow upper bridge deck slab and the wide lower bridge deck slab are both arranged on the other box girder. A closed box girder section can be formed under the frequent wind speed to restrain bridge vortex vibration, the open grooves can be opened in the typhoon day, the split box girder section is formed, and the bridge flutter requirement is met.
