The environment-friendly decorative material is prepared from the following raw materials in parts by weight: 60 to 70 parts of diatomite, 6 to 10 parts of serpentine powder, 20 to 25 parts of ash calcium powder, 20 to 30 parts of dolomite, 30 to 40 parts of wood flour, 3 to 5 parts of hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose, 18 to 22 parts of barite powder, 0.5 to 0.8 part of a de-foaming agent and 0.2 to 0.5 part of a mildew preventive. The preparation method is simple, the product is good in fire resistance and moisture resistance, high in absorption efficiency of harmful substances in air, low in construction difficulty, low in raw material cost and suitable for industrial production and application, and the construction method is the same as that of common wall paint.
