The fabricated hanging plate structure comprises a hanging plate body constructed at the wall toe of a retaining wall bottom plate of an existing vertical retaining wall, and the hanging plate body is formed by splicing a plurality of prefabricated hanging plate units which are arranged side by side in the length direction of the retaining wall; each prefabricated hanging plate unit comprises a hanging plate bottom plate which is horizontally arranged; the hanging plate vertical plate is vertically arranged on the lower plate surface of the hanging plate bottom plate and is connected with the hanging plate bottom plate; the left hollow side column and the right hollow side column are arranged on the upper plate surface of the hanging plate bottom plate and located on the left side and the right side of the hanging plate bottom plate; and the hanging plate panel is arranged on the upper plate surface of the hanging plate bottom plate and is positioned between the left hollow side column and the right hollow side column. The invention further discloses a construction method of the assembly type hanging plate structure applied to retaining wall transformation. The method has the advantages of no need of cofferdams during construction, high construction speed, good landscape effect, safety, reliability and the like.
