According to the beam column joint and the construction method thereof, the key groove is reserved in the upper section of the prefabricated column to be matched with the anti-shearing structure pre-embedded in the cast-in-place joint, connection between the prefabricated column and the cast-in-place joint is enhanced, and integrity of the cast-in-place joint and the prefabricated column is achieved after grouting.
