The invention discloses a beam-column joint and a construction method thereof, the beam-column joint is used for connecting a precast beam and a precast column so as to increase the integrity between the beam and the column, the beam-column joint comprises a cast-in-place joint and an anti-shear structure fixedly connected with the cast-in-place joint, and the cast-in-place joint is fixed in the precast beam in a cast-in-place mode; the prefabricated column comprises an upper column section located above the prefabricated beam and a lower column section located below the prefabricated beam. According to the beam column joint and the construction method thereof, the key groove is reserved in the upper section of the prefabricated column to be matched with the anti-shearing structure pre-embedded in the cast-in-place joint, connection between the prefabricated column and the cast-in-place joint is enhanced, and integrity of the cast-in-place joint and the prefabricated column is achieved after grouting.
