The invention provides a novel embankment for ecological restoration of a river channel, the novel embankment comprises an inlet section, an ecological restoration section and an outlet section, the inlet section is a splayed guide wall, and the outlet section is a herringbone guide wall and a microorganism generation system; each ecological restoration module comprises an arc-shaped porous flow guide wall, a concrete compact baffle, a concrete porous baffle, a biological partition wall, an activated carbon plate and a microorganism generation system, and the multiple ecological restoration modules form an ecological restoration section. The inlet section can enlarge the water cross section and slow down the water flow velocity; the biological partition wall can adsorb impurities in water and introduce water flow into the microorganism generation system, and the microorganism generation system releases microorganisms to purify the water body after meeting water; the concrete compact baffles introduce water flow into main flow to collide with the main flow to form vortex, so that water flow speed is slowed down, hydraulic retention time per unit stroke is prolonged, and activated carbon adsorption and microbial decomposition of pollutants are enhanced.
