The invention discloses a geopolymer-based ecological concrete planting base material as well as a preparation method and application thereof. The geopolymer-based ecological concrete planting base material comprises the following components: 255-261 parts of organic soil, 59-61 parts of peat soil, 19 parts of furnace slag, 12-13 parts of zeolite powder, 6-31 parts of copper sulfate, 3.1-3.2 parts of liquid slow-release nitrogen fertilizer and 621-637 parts of tap water. The organic soil and the peat soil provide a growth basis for vegetation, the zeolite powder improves the fluidity of the base material, so that the base material can smoothly fill concrete pores, the slag improves the water and fertilizer retention capacity of the base material, the slow-release nitrogen fertilizer ensures that nutrients needed in the period from vegetation rooting to concrete penetration are provided, and the copper sulfate creates an acid-base environment suitable for plant growth. The material is excellent in performance, simple to prepare and suitable for practical engineering application.
