The invention provides a chimney dismantling device and method. The chimney dismantling device comprises a hydraulic clamp, a hoisting mechanism, a pump station, a control device and a plurality of image acquisition devices. The hoisting mechanism is connected with the hydraulic clamp; the outlet end of the pump station is connected with an oil inlet pipe of the hydraulic clamp, and the inlet end of the pump station is connected with an oil outlet pipe of the hydraulic clamp; the top ends of the hydraulic clamp and the hoisting mechanism are respectively provided with at least one group of image acquisition devices; and the control device is connected with each group of image acquisition devices and is used for receiving hydraulic clamp shearing images sent by the image acquisition devices and hoisting images of the hoisting mechanism and adjusting the acquisition directions of the image acquisition devices, so that the pump station is controlled to adjust the shearing action of the hydraulic clamp, and the hoisting mechanism is controlled to adjust the shearing direction of the hydraulic clamp. According to the chimney dismantling method provided by the invention, adverse effects caused by high-altitude construction are reduced, uncertain factors caused by people going up and down are reduced, maintenance and operation of all equipment are carried out on the ground, and the construction time is greatly saved.
