The invention relates to a charging connection cover device for hiding or opening an electrical charging terminal of a motor vehicle, comprising a charging connection cover which can be moved at least between a closed position and an open position; a first switch having a first intermediate terminal and at least one first contact terminal, an electrical connection between the intermediate terminal and the first contact terminal being present or interrupted depending on a switching position of the first switch; a second switch having a second intermediate terminal and at least one third contact terminal, the electrical connection between the second intermediate terminal and the third contact terminal being present or interrupted depending on the switching position of the second switch; the invention relates to a circuit section having a first switch, a second switch, and a resistor arrangement having at least a first resistor and a fourth resistor, the first resistor and the fourth resistor being different, the first switch, the second switch and the resistor arrangement being connected to one another in such a way that a circuit section is formed, at least three different total resistance values of the circuit section being determined as a function of the switching position of the first switch and the second switch.
