The invention provides a production method of a metering nozzle for a steelmaking tundish made of a zirconium oxide composite material. The production method comprises the following steps: granulating titanium nitride fine powder to obtain titanium nitride particles; mixing the titanium nitride fine powder, the zirconium oxide fine powder, the titanium nitride particles, the mixed powder and the binding agent; molding in a mold; drying the formed product; and heating the dried product in an inert atmosphere to obtain the required product.
