The invention relates to a hinge device (100), in particular a concealed hinge device (100), for fastening a door or window rotatably about a hinge axis, comprising a box body (3) and a hinge bracket (4) which is arranged partially in a receiving region (9) of the box body (3), the hinge axis being arranged parallel to the vertical direction (V), wherein the hinge bracket (4) is inserted into the receiving region (9) in a horizontal direction (H) arranged orthogonally to the vertical direction (V), and wherein the box body (3) has a nose (5) in the receiving region (9) for engaging into a recess (6) of the hinge bracket (4) and for holding the hinge bracket (4). The invention further relates to a method for mounting a hinge device (100).
