The invention relates to an opening and closing driving mechanism of an upturning folding door, the mechanism comprises a shell, a driving part and a swinging part which are arranged on the shell, and a supporting part arranged on the swinging part, the driving part is arranged in the shell and is in transmission connection with the swinging part, and the supporting part is arranged outside a front opening of the shell; the swinging part comprises a balance wheel, a rotating shaft, a pair of gears and a pair of arc-shaped racks with teeth arranged on the inner arc surfaces, the balance wheel comprises a cam part, a transition part upwards obliquely arranged on the front upper portion of the cam part and a connecting arm downwards obliquely arranged at the front end of the transition part, and the connecting arm is exposed out of a front opening of the shell to be connected with the supporting part; the cam part is rotatably arranged in the shell in the vertical direction, the rotating shaft is arranged on the balance wheel located in the shell, the pair of gears are fixed to exposed parts on the two sides of the rotating shaft respectively, and the pair of arc-shaped racks are fixedly arranged in the shell and meshed with the two gears respectively. The device is more uniform in stress and stable in operation.
