The barite concrete for the proton hospital is prepared from the following raw materials in parts by weight: 198-205 parts of cement; 85 to 95 parts of fly ash; 48 to 55 parts of slag powder; 1100 to 1150 parts of steel shots; 550 to 560 parts of barite fine aggregate; 1830 to 1860 parts of barite coarse aggregate; 150 to 160 parts of water; 25-30 parts of an expanding agent; 10 to 12 parts of a water reducing agent; the construction method comprises the following steps: mixing and stirring the raw materials to obtain a concrete mixture; the concrete partition wall of the proton treatment area is subjected to segmented formwork erecting, and layered pouring is conducted through a concrete mixture; and after pouring is completed, the concrete partition wall in the proton treatment area is subjected to mold curing, regular heat preservation and moisture preservation curing is conducted after a wall formwork is removed, and construction can be completed. The barite concrete disclosed by the invention is relatively high in apparent density, relatively high in 7d strength percentage and 28d strength percentage after construction application, and relatively excellent in overall structural stability.
