A vehicle-mounted hard-top tent comprises a top frame, a bottom frame, a lifting mechanism and a plurality of pairs of foldable side plates. The top frame is located above the bottom frame. The side plates are symmetrically arranged between the top frame and the bottom frame in pairs, and are movably connected with the edges of the top frame and the bottom frame respectively; when the top frame is close to the bottom frame, the side plates can be folded into plate surfaces, and the plate surfaces are basically parallel to the top frame and the bottom frame; when the top frame and the bottom frame are away from each other, the side plates are unfolded between the top frame and the bottom frame; the lifting mechanism is arranged adjacent to the side plates, connected with the edges of the top frame and the bottom frame and used for driving the top frame to be close to or away from the bottom frame.
