The invention relates to the technical field of refractory materials, in particular to a dry gunning mix and a preparation method thereof.The preparation method comprises the following steps that S1, a prepared silicate-based material and aluminate are mixed to form a mixture A; s2, adding an alkali carbonate solution into the mixture A to generate a mineralized compound with a stable structure; s3, an organic binding agent is added into the mixture in the step S2, and slurry B is formed; s4, the slurry B is subjected to ultrasonic treatment, so that particles in the slurry B are more uniformly distributed, and the performance of the gunning material is improved; s5, adding a thickening agent into the treated slurry B, and adjusting to the required slurry viscosity; s6, the adjusted slurry B is subjected to drying treatment, and a dry gunning material is obtained; and S7, the dried gunning material is subjected to ball milling treatment, and the fluidity and adhesiveness of the gunning material during use are ensured. According to the invention, by combining biochemical means, high adhesiveness, fluidity and biochemical stability are realized.
