The peak-shaving energy-saving direct drinking water equipment comprises a pump set system, a sterile water tank and a control system, the input end of the pump set system is connected with a municipal pipe network, and the output end of the pump set system is connected with the input end of the sterile water tank; the output end of the sterile water tank is connected with a user side through a membrane treatment device, and the membrane treatment device is used for carrying out membrane filtration treatment on effluent of the sterile water tank; the sterile water tank is located above the user side and supplies water to the user side in a high-position self-flowing mode. The control system is used for controlling the pump set system to introduce water of the municipal pipe network into the sterile water tank in the valley period of electricity utilization and water utilization. The energy consumption can be reduced, and the effluent quality can be ensured.
