The invention discloses a clamping assembly for mounting fabricated wallboards and a mounting method thereof.The clamping assembly comprises a set of wallboards, the wallboards are fixed to the wall face through a plurality of clamping assemblies, each clamping assembly comprises a clamping mounting piece and a clamping fixing piece, the clamping mounting pieces are fixed to the back faces of the wallboards, the clamping fixing pieces are fixed to the wall face, and the clamping fixing pieces are fixed to the wall face. The clamping installation pieces and the clamping fixing pieces are connected in an inserted mode, the clamping installation pieces are fixed to all the wallboards through screws, then the clamping installation pieces fixed to the wallboards into a whole are pushed towards the wall along the clamping fixing pieces fixed to the wall face, and then insertion can be completed. When the wallboard is damaged or polluted in the later period and needs to be replaced, only the clamping installation pieces on the back face of the wallboard needing to be replaced need to be popped out of the corresponding clamping fixing pieces, and the wallboard does not need to be dismantled from the edge of the wall till the wallboard needs to be replaced.
