The invention discloses a highland drainage system under a high and steep slope. The highland drainage system comprises a connecting structure, a vertical shaft, an energy dissipation well, a water conveying structure and a plurality of diversion piers. A water inlet of the connecting structure is connected with a tableland rainwater pipe network, and a water outlet of the connecting structure is connected with the vertical shaft and used for conveying tableland rainwater to the vertical shaft; the energy dissipation well is arranged at the bottom end of the vertical shaft, communicates with the vertical shaft and is used for dissipating energy of rainwater entering the energy dissipation well from the vertical shaft; a water inlet of the water conveying structure communicates with the energy dissipation well, and a water outlet of the water conveying structure communicates with a riverway below the tableland and is used for conveying the rainwater subjected to energy dissipation to the riverway; the plurality of diversion piers are arranged around the wellhead of the vertical shaft, and each diversion pier extends into the vertical shaft by a first preset distance; and a vent hole is formed in each diversion pier and extends from the pier top of the diversion pier to the pier bottom of the diversion pier. Rainwater on the tableland can be safely drained out of the tableland, it is avoided that due to disordered drainage of the rainwater, erosion of the branch ditch head on the tableland is aggravated, the tableland surface is cut and broken, and the slope of the tableland top collapses, and the problems of water and soil loss and geological disasters of the loess tableland are solved.
