The invention relates to the field of road construction, in particular to a highway subgrade retaining wall structure which comprises a plurality of retaining plates, each retaining plate is detachably connected with a plurality of mounting rods used for being inserted into a subgrade, the ends, away from the retaining plates, of the mounting rods are rotationally connected with reinforcing rods, and the mounting rods are provided with control assemblies. The control assembly is used for driving the reinforcing rod in the roadbed to rotate from a state parallel to the mounting rod to a state in which an angle is formed between the reinforcing rod and the mounting rod; the reinforcing rod is provided with a second reinforcing rod used for reinforcing the reinforcing rod, the mounting rod is provided with a pushing assembly used for driving the second reinforcing rod to move in the length direction of the reinforcing rod, and the pushing assembly is used for pushing the second reinforcing rod to extend out of the end face of the reinforcing rod. The stability of the retaining wall on the roadbed is improved.
