The invention relates to a front cover lock, a vehicle and a control method, and relates to the field of automobile bodies. The front cover lock comprises a base, a lock pin, a locking mechanism and a driving piece. In the process that the locking mechanism is switched from the locking state to the unlocking state, the driving piece applies acting force in the opposite directions to the stopping parts of the two locking pieces, the stopping parts of the two locking pieces are made to be away from the locking parts, and therefore the locking mechanism is switched from the locking state to the unlocking state. When the vehicle is subjected to offset collision, the two locking pieces are subjected to lateral impact force in the same direction, so that the stopping part of one locking piece is far away from the locking part, the stopping part of the other locking piece is still located on the side, close to the vehicle front cover, of the locking part, and the locking mechanism is still in the locking state. In other words, when the vehicle is subjected to offset collision, the vehicle front cover can be kept in the closed state, and therefore the safety of the vehicle front cover lock is improved. Therefore, the technical problem of low safety of the front cover lock of the vehicle in the prior art is solved.
