The invention belongs to the technical field of cable-stayed bridge construction methods, and discloses an efficient and rapid construction method for a steel box girder of a cable-stayed bridge in a mountainous area, which comprises the following steps of: positioning and mounting a first section of steel box girder on a steel-concrete combined section at a bridge tower; hoisting the steel box girder on the shore to the cantilever end of the midspan side of the first section of steel box girder for positioning, connecting the steel box girder with the temporary connecting piece on the tower side of the first section of steel box girder bridge in a matching manner, and then tensioning the cable force of the stay cable of the steel box girder on the shore to T1; hoisting the steel box girder on the opposite bank, and installing by adopting the same method as the steel box girder on the bank; connecting a local bank steel box girder circular seam, and then removing the temporary connecting piece which is connected with the tower end of the local bank steel box girder bridge; the cable force of the stay cable on the shore steel box girder is tensioned to a preset value T, and installation of the shore steel box girder is completed; and finishing the construction of the residual beam sections according to the steps until the main bridge is closed. The device is matched with a cable hoisting system, the problems that hoisting of the steel box girder in the mountainous area is limited by terrains and the construction progress is slow are successfully solved, then the construction cost is reduced, and comprehensive benefits are remarkable.
