The invention discloses a mechanically-erected railway flatcar side emergency platform which comprises a platform body, an erecting mechanical arm and an erecting operation vehicle. The platform body is of a foldable structure, is placed on an erection operation vehicle in a vehicle-mounted state, is erected on the side face of a flatcar in a full-load state and is a supporting bearing body for loads to pass through. The erecting mechanical arm is used for completing lifting erecting of the platform body from the vehicle-mounted state to the side face of the flatcar. The erecting operation vehicle is used for carrying the platform body, assisting in completing erecting of the platform body by the erecting mechanical arm, providing power for erecting of the platform body and meanwhile providing erecting balance weights for the whole process of erecting the platform body by the erecting mechanical arm. The emergency platform can be erected on any side face of the flatcar, it is guaranteed that moving loads on the flatcar are unloaded to the ground through the erected side face emergency platform, and the problem that the labor intensity is large when a movable platform is erected can be solved only through manual auxiliary control operation.
