The invention provides an overturning type protection device which comprises a stand column, a first protection assembly and a second protection assembly. The stand column is detachably connected with an embedded part. The first protection assembly is fixedly connected to the stand column. The second protection assembly is rotationally connected with the first protection assembly through a rotating piece. Under the action of external force, the second protection assembly has a folded state in which the second protection assembly coincides with the first protection assembly when rotating and an unfolded state in which the second protection assembly is separated from the first protection assembly under the action of gravity, and the second protection assembly and the first protection assembly are located on the same plane in the unfolded state. According to the structure, the first protection assembly and the second protection assembly can be folded, concrete is subjected to surface finishing, plastering and maintenance operation in the pouring process, and then the construction efficiency is improved.
