The fireproof coating is prepared from the following raw materials in parts by mass: 58 to 62 parts of gypsum powder, 8 to 10 parts of sepiolite, 4 to 6 parts of mica sheet, 20 to 25 parts of perlite, 0.1 to 0.5 part of thixotropic lubricant, 0.3 to 0.8 part of anti-crack fiber, 0.8 to 1.2 parts of adhesive and 0.1 to 0.3 part of retarder. The obtained gypsum-based fireproof coating has excellent bonding performance, the bonding strength is not smaller than 0.06 MPa, the dry density and the stacking density are low, in addition, the drying time, the crack resistance test, the exposure heat resistance test, the moisture resistance test and the freezing resistance test detection items all conform to the national standard, and the gypsum-based fireproof coating has an excellent actual use effect.
