The grinding mechanism comprises a grinding wagon body and grinding mechanism bodies arranged on the two sides of the grinding wagon body and used for grinding a steel rail, and each grinding mechanism body comprises a plurality of sets of grinding frames symmetrically arranged on the two sides of the grinding wagon body; the multiple groups of polishing units are correspondingly arranged on the polishing frame; the adjusting unit is arranged between the grinding units and the grinding frame, through conversion arrangement of the multiple sets of grinding units, a grinding wheel can be rapidly replaced, so that the effect that in the grinding operation, the grinding time is prolonged due to the fact that the grinding wheel needs to be replaced is reduced, and meanwhile through arrangement of the adjusting mechanism, the grinding time is shortened; and the grinding wheels in the grinding units can be in vertical contact with different surfaces of the steel rail all the time, so that each grinding unit can be used for grinding the different surfaces of the steel rail at the vertical angle of the contact surface, and the applicability and rapid adjustment of the grinding units are improved.
