A road debris detection system includes a data processor in wireless communication with an infrastructure, the infrastructure including a plurality of air-responsive vehicles adapted to be deployed from the infrastructure, each of the plurality of air-responsive vehicles dedicated to perform a particular task, the data processor is adapted to receive data relating to a road, assess whether a debris is present within the road, and assess a property of the detected debris when a debris is present within the road, an air-responsive vehicle is selected from the plurality of air-responsive vehicles that is dedicated to be able to clear/move the detected debris based on the type, size, and weight of the detected debris, and the selected air-responsive vehicle is deployed to clear the debris.
