The invention provides a modified carbon fiber hard felt as well as a preparation method and application thereof. The modified carbon fiber hard felt comprises carbon fibers, and silicon carbide and carbon which are compounded on the carbon fibers. The modifier is adopted to modify the carbon fibers, polymethylphenylsiloxane in the modifier serves as a main material and can form a silicon carbide ceramic membrane through subsequent high temperature, the silicon carbide ceramic membrane is compounded on the surfaces of the carbon fibers, and the silicon carbide ceramic membrane can enhance the surface hardness and oxidation resistance of the carbon fibers; the wear resistance and the high-temperature resistance of the carbon fiber are improved, so that the service life of the carbon fiber in a vacuum high-temperature furnace is prolonged. In addition, the carbon nanotubes in the modifier can further enhance the mechanical properties of the carbon fibers.
