The invention relates to a bridge expansion device which comprises fixed teeth and movable ribs, the fixed teeth are used for being erected on one side of a bridge expansion joint in the longitudinal bridge direction, a connecting piece is arranged on the side, close to the bridge expansion joint, of each fixed tooth, a pressing plate is arranged on the side, away from the bridge expansion joint, of each fixed tooth, and each pressing plate is provided with a first connecting face; the movable rib comprises a toothed plate extending towards one side of the fixed teeth, the end, away from the bridge expansion joint, of the toothed plate is connected with the connecting piece, the toothed plate is provided with a second connecting face, and when the movable rib is in lap joint with the fixed teeth, the first connecting face makes contact with the top of the second connecting face to limit upward movement of the toothed plate. In the invention, one end of the toothed plate is connected with the connecting piece to prevent the movable rib from vertically vibrating, and the other end of the toothed plate is vertically limited through the pressing plate to reduce vibration, prevent the other end of the toothed plate from tilting and prevent a vertical gap from being generated between the movable rib and the fixed teeth.
