The invention provides a roller shutter device which can enable a winding box to be close to and installed on a building component such as a window and a door even if the building component is provided with a protruding part such as a handle protruding towards the indoor side, and the operability of an operation rope is excellent. A roller blind device (1) is provided with: a frame body having a winding box (4) and a vertical frame member (5) that hangs downward from the end of the winding box in the longitudinal direction; a winding shaft (3) which is rotatably supported in the winding box around an axis (L1); a curtain (2) that can be wound or unwound with respect to the winding shaft; a guide rail (7) that guides the side end of the curtain in the vertical direction; and an operation wire (15) which is wound and hung on a pulley (14) connected with the winding shaft in the winding box and enables the winding shaft to rotate, the guide rail is arranged at the indoor side end part in the depth direction in the frame body, the frame body is provided with a guide-out opening (20) which is opened at the front surface facing the indoor side, and the operation wire (15) is guided out from the frame body to the indoor side through the guide-out opening (20).
