The invention discloses a method for automatically installing reinforcing steel bars. The method comprises the steps that S1, space coordinates of a row of thread bushings installed on site are obtained one by one through a point taking robot; s2, acquiring and processing the space coordinates of the point taking robot through the installation robot; s3, the mounting robot clamps the reinforcing steel bars, and the reinforcing steel bars are placed in the threaded sleeves through the space coordinates; s4, the placed reinforcing steel bars are tightened, and placement of a row of reinforcing steel bars is completed; s5, an auxiliary support is fixedly connected to the installed reinforcing steel bars, and the installation robot clamps the reinforcing steel bars and places the reinforcing steel bars at the highest position of the auxiliary support; s6, steel bars on the auxiliary supports are sequentially placed in the vertical direction; s7, the reinforcing steel bars on the auxiliary support and the reinforcing steel bars in the threaded sleeve are bundled, and installation of a row of reinforcing steel bars is completed; and S8, the steps are repeated, and on-site installation of multiple rows of reinforcing steel bars is achieved. According to the invention, the lengthening of the horizontal steel bars and the vertical steel bars is realized, so that the whole field installation is safer, more efficient and more economical.
