The invention relates to a construction method for replacing a large-span cable-stayed bridge support. The construction method comprises the steps that the maximum overtension force of a stay cable within the influence range of the position of the support is calculated; based on the finite element model of the large-span cable-stayed bridge and the maximum super-tension force of the stay cable, the maximum jacking force needed when the support is replaced is obtained; calculating the number of jacking jacks based on the required maximum jacking force; a support temporary supporting component and a jacking jack are installed; and the stay cable is tensioned to the maximum super-tension force of the stay cable, and the support is replaced. According to the invention, when the support is replaced, the stay cable is subjected to overtension, so that the jacking force required by support replacement construction is reduced, and the construction risk is reduced.
