The invention relates to a motor vehicle lock, in particular a motor vehicle door lock, having a locking mechanism (1, 2), which mainly comprises a bolt (1) and a pawl (2). An electric drive (3, 4, 5) and a lever mechanism are also implemented, which has at least a release lever (7) and a control lever (9). The drive device (3, 4, 5) can act both on the release lever (7) for opening the locking mechanism (1, 2) and on the control lever (9). According to the invention, a force transmission element (14) which interacts with the release lever (7) is provided for the emergency opening of the locking mechanism (1, 2).
