The invention relates to the technical field of friction materials, in particular to an aramid pulp dispersed material and a friction material. The aramid pulp dispersed material is prepared from the following raw materials in parts by weight: 100 parts of aramid pulp, 2-20 parts of modified liquid and 600-1200 parts of inorganic powder, wherein based on the total mass of the modification liquid, the modification liquid comprises a solvent, 1 to 5 weight percent of a surfactant, 0.5 to 3.5 weight percent of a coupling agent and 0 to 3 weight percent of a tackifier. In the invention, the inorganic powder and a small amount of modified liquid have a synergistic effect, so that the aramid pulp can be efficiently dispersed by a dry method, the production process can be simplified, the production cycle can be shortened, and the aramid pulp dispersed material with excellent dispersity can be obtained.
