The invention relates to the technical field of steel support systems, and discloses a steel support system reinforcing method which comprises the following steps: step 1, using fastening bolts to embrace reinforcing auxiliary structures at a uniform position on the outer surface of a support steel pipe; 2, the supporting steel pipe provided with the reinforcing auxiliary structure is installed on a pre-buried flange plate on a foundation; 3, the reinforcing auxiliary structures located at the same horizontal position are welded and connected through second connecting square steel; and 4, the upper row of reinforcing auxiliary structures and the lower row of reinforcing auxiliary structures are subjected to V-shaped welding reinforcing through the first connecting square steel, the reinforcing auxiliary structures surround the supporting steel pipes to form a whole with the supporting steel pipes, the first connecting square steel and the second connecting square steel are connected with the reinforcing auxiliary structures in a welding mode, the length of a welding seam is guaranteed, the corresponding stress area can be large, and therefore the reinforcing effect is good. The bearable shearing force can be increased, and the problem that the stressed area of the joint of the square steel and the steel support is very small is well solved.
