The invention provides a screw type water surface floating object garbage collecting device which comprises a shore-based fixing device and a floating object collecting barrel, the floating object collecting barrel comprises an outer barrel and an inner barrel installed in the outer barrel, a water wheel is installed below the inner barrel, a water inlet pipeline is arranged on the water facing side of the outer barrel, the height of the water inlet pipeline is consistent with that of the water wheel, and the water inlet pipeline is connected with the shore-based fixing device. The vortex flow guide plate is arranged at the bottom of the outer barrel, the water wheel is pushed to rotate by capturing the flowing force of water in a channel, floating objects on the water surface are attracted, then garbage is collected and treated in a unified mode, and therefore the purpose of improving the water quality is achieved.
