The invention relates to a mounting method of a steel structure box type inclined strut, which comprises the following steps: step 1, a sleeve is arranged in each of two ends of the inclined strut in a sliding manner, a handle rod is vertically arranged on the side wall of each sleeve, and a long round hole for the handle rod to penetrate out is formed in the side wall of the inclined strut; secondly, the handle rod is moved, so that the sleeve completely retracts into the inclined strut; after the inclined strut is moved to the installation position, the handle rod is moved again, and the sleeve extends out of the end of the inclined strut and is inserted into the bracket by a preset length; and thirdly, the inclined strut and the bracket are welded.
