The invention discloses a fabricated reinforced concrete face rockfill dam and a construction method thereof. The structure comprises a reinforced concrete panel, the panel is in a regular hexagon shape, and one diagonal line of the regular hexagon panel is arranged in the up-down direction of a dam slope; tenons are arranged on three adjacent edges of the regular hexagonal panel, and grooves are formed in the other three adjacent edges of the regular hexagonal panel; the tenons of the regular hexagonal panels are embedded into the grooves of the adjacent panels to form a honeycomb dam slope anti-seepage body; and a high polymer material which expands when encountering water is filled between the tenon and the groove. The invention has the beneficial effects that the panel is prefabricated in advance, so that the quality is controllable; the adjacent panels are connected through mortise and tenon structures, connection is firm, and integrity is high; the joints of the panels are filled with water-swellable high polymer materials, so that a good water stopping effect is achieved, a release space can be provided for stress and deformation of the panels, and cracking of the panels is effectively resisted; the prefabricated panels are assembled and laid into the dam slope anti-seepage body through the sliding rails, construction is convenient, the speed is high, and the cost is low.
