The composite-based water-soluble core mold material is prepared from the following components in parts by weight: 320 to 480 parts of quartz sand and 40 to 80 parts of composite binder glue solution, wherein the composite binder glue solution comprises a polyvinyl alcohol solution and a carboxymethyl cellulose solution. According to the composite binder glue solution prepared by compounding and blending carboxymethyl cellulose and polyvinyl alcohol, the glass transition temperature and the mechanical property of the composite binder can be effectively improved, the body thermodynamic property and the water solubility of the composite binder are synergistically enhanced, and then the high-temperature compression strength and the modulus of the core mold are improved; meanwhile, it can be guaranteed that the core mold has good water-soluble collapsibility, the defect that the high-temperature mechanical performance and the water-soluble collapsibility of a single polyvinyl alcohol-based water-soluble core mold material cannot be synergistically enhanced is overcome, and the high-temperature compression modulus is effectively increased.
