The invention relates to an adjustable modular indoor curtain wall which comprises a curtain wall body, a plurality of sliding assemblies and a guide rail assembly. The curtain wall body is used for separating adjacent reading rooms; the guide rail assembly is arranged on the upper floor, and the upper side of the curtain wall body is connected with the sliding assembly which is in sliding connection with the guide rail assembly. The curtain wall body comprises a plurality of first curtain wall units; the first curtain wall unit is fixedly connected with the sliding assembly. The guide rail assembly comprises a first rail and a second rail which are communicated; the first track is arranged between adjacent reading rooms; the second track is perpendicular to the first track and arranged along the edge of the wall of the reading room. According to the method, a worker moves the first curtain wall units from the first track positions to the second track positions, so that the multiple first curtain wall units are temporarily stored in the second track positions close to the wall; therefore, the spaces of the adjacent reading rooms are communicated so as to be used by many people at the same time, and the use range of the reading rooms is widened.
