The invention relates to the technical field of installation and construction of steel box girders, and provides a non-support active closure construction method for a large-span steel box girder, which comprises the following steps: S1, constructing the top of a pier to the design elevation of a low pier structure; s2, a falling support is constructed at the position of a low pier structure of the pier; s3, an adjusting mechanism is installed at the low pier structure of the pier; and S4, hoisting equipment is installed at the end of the steel-concrete combined section.
