The method comprises the following steps that temporary supports are installed on Pn + 1 piers and Pn + 2 piers in a small-span area through lifting equipment located in the small-span area; large-section longitudinal beams are spliced on the temporary supports of the Pn + 1 piers and the Pn + 2 piers section by section; a crown block assembly is installed on the large-section longitudinal beam, and temporary supports are installed on the piers located in the large-span area through the crown block assembly; and the large-section longitudinal beams are driven to move in the small mileage direction, and the small-section longitudinal beams are assembled at the ends, located in the small-span area, of the large-section longitudinal beams section by section to form longitudinal beam assemblies, so that the longitudinal beam assemblies are supported on the piers in the small-span area and the large-span area at the same time. The method solves the problem of installation of the bridge girder erection machine under the construction working conditions that bridges are connected and spans are different, and the needed assembly difficulty is small.
