The invention relates to the technical field of residence water supply monitoring, in particular to a water quality monitoring method for residence secondary water supply at the tail end of a branch-shaped pipe network, which comprises the following steps: when water is normally supplied to residence users, valves on front and rear connecting pipes are in an open state, water flow of a pipeline at the tail end of the branch-shaped pipe network flows into a water outlet from a water inlet from front to back, and flows out of the water outlet; water flow enters the monitoring pipe assembly from the front pipe under the action of water pressure in the flowing process, the water quality is monitored through the water quality monitor, and then information data are transmitted to the central controller through the wireless transmission module in the water quality monitor, so that the water quality can be monitored, and the data are transmitted in real time. According to the method, a monitoring structure is placed outside a pipe network, and meanwhile, the monitoring structure is conveniently disassembled, overhauled and replaced with parts by being matched with segmented pipelines arranged in front, middle and back; besides, a cleaning plate mechanism is arranged in the monitoring box structure, so that the water quality monitor can be cleaned and dried, and a large amount of incrustation scale is prevented from being attached to the surface of the water quality monitor after long-time use.
