The invention discloses a preparation method of an admixture for fair-faced concrete. The admixture is prepared from 25%-28% of a polycarboxylic acid water reducing component, 1.8%-2.1% of a retarding component, 1%-4% of micro-nano-scale hydrated calcium silicate, 0.8%-2% of a color difference adjusting component, 0.02%-0.05% of an air entraining component, 0.04%-0.07% of a defoaming component, 1%-4% of a slow-release hydrophobic component and the balance of purified water. In order to solve the problem that bubbles with large viscosity are difficult to discharge during preparation of fair-faced concrete, the invention provides a polycarboxylic acid water-reducing component which has low shrinkage and viscosity reduction effects and is of a comb-type molecular structure, and on the basis, various functional components are added and compounded to form the fair-faced concrete water-reducing agent. The fair-faced concrete obtained by adding the admixture special for the fair-faced concrete is basically free of bubbles in appearance, excellent in apparent quality and good in early strength effect, has the advantages of low shrinkage and viscosity reduction, and meanwhile is good in fluidity and not prone to segregation and bleeding.
