The invention relates to a method for preparing ammonium bicarbonate from secondary aluminum ash. The method comprises the following steps: grinding the secondary aluminum ash; transferring the ground secondary aluminum ash into a pre-reaction tank, and adding water or evaporated liquor of the last batch into the pre-reaction tank; stirring the materials in the reaction tank, transferring the stirred materials into a first reaction kettle, and adding water or evaporated liquor generated in the previous batch of preparation process into the first reaction kettle; heating the first reaction kettle to carry out a first reaction; after the first reaction is completed, adding sodium carbonate into the first reaction kettle, and carrying out a second reaction; ammonia gas generated in the second reaction process is introduced into a condensation tank for denitrification; in the condensation tank, the ammonia gas is condensed and concentrated to form ammonia water; transferring the ammonia water into a second reaction kettle, and introducing gas with the carbon dioxide concentration of more than 80% into the second reaction kettle to obtain ammonium bicarbonate.
