The invention belongs to the field of advanced welding ceramic matrix composite materials, and particularly relates to a fused salt modifier and a preparation method and application thereof. In order to overcome the defects existing in the technology for modifying harmful SiO2 oxide generated in a crack area after an existing aero-engine SiCf/SiC ceramic-based composite material serves, the invention provides a molten salt modifier which comprises Ca-based alkaline oxide accounting for 0.1-60 wt% of a molten salt system and low-melting-point inorganic salt. The fused salt modifier can efficiently remove and/or modify SiO2 oxide generated in a crack area after the SiCf/SiC ceramic-based composite material serves, and does not damage a base material of the SiCf/SiC ceramic-based composite material. The fused salt modifier is efficient and green fused salt for modifying SiO2 oxide, can be produced on a large scale, is low in cost and simple in process, and can efficiently repair cracks of SiCf/SiC ceramic matrix composite parts.
