Method for electrolyzing water by using external magnetic field
The invention provides a method for electrolyzing water by using an external magnetic field. The method comprises the following steps: (1) applying a perovskite material serving as a water electrolysis catalyst to an electrode in an electrolytic bath; (2) applying a magnet to the periphery of the electrolytic bath so as to promote the efficiency of electrolyzing water; the chemical formula of the perovskite material is SrFe (1-x) CoxO3, wherein x is more than 0.1 and less than 0.9. The perovskite material SrFe < 1-x > Co < x > O < 3 > provided by the invention is a material with ferromagnetism and metallicity at a temperature close to room temperature, and the magnetism and Curie temperature of the perovskite material can be changed in a range of 100-350K by adjusting a Fe/Co doping ratio. After the perovskite material is applied to electrolyzed water, the perovskite material has excellent electrocatalytic activity. In addition, when the magnet is close to the electrolytic bath, the electro-catalytic reaction efficiency is remarkably improved.
