Sintered molded body of ceramic made of sialon material, raw material mixture and production thereof
The invention relates to a sintered molded body based on beta-sialon and 15R-sialon, which has a high cutting performance as a cutting material relative to a workpiece made of a nickel-based alloy or a heat-resistant superalloy (HRSA). To this end, a sintered molded body of a ceramic is shown, said sintered molded body having a sialon phase and an amorphous or partially crystalline grain boundary phase. The sialon phase has a proportion of 15R-sialon polymorphs of 20% by weight to 80% by weight. The amorphous or partially crystalline grain boundary phase optionally comprises Yb-Al garnet and accounts for up to 15% by weight of the entire sintered molded body. The sintered molded body is produced from an inorganic raw material mixture comprising: 40 wt% to 57 wt% of Si3N4; 40% to 55% by weight of a mixture of AlN and Al2O3, wherein the ratio of Al2O3 to AlN is in the range of 1 to 1.5: 1; and 3 wt% to 5 wt% of Yb2O3 as a sintering aid.
