The invention provides a submerged arc furnace blocking material for industrial silicon smelting. The submerged arc furnace blocking material is prepared from the following components in parts by weight: 35-45 parts of microporous mullite aggregate, 15-25 parts of coke aggregate, 5-8 parts of kyanite aggregate, 8-12 parts of high bauxite powder, 12-15 parts of clay, 3-5 parts of silicon carbide powder, 3-5 parts of alumina micro powder, 4-5 parts of high-temperature asphalt powder and 13-15 parts of anthracene oil and phenolic resin binding agent. According to the scheme, the microporous mullite aggregate is adopted, so that precious refractory material resources are saved, energy consumption in the production process is reduced, and green production in the industrial silicon industry is facilitated.
